Sophomore PJ Dozier slipped out of several draft projections including, the site that had him most prominently displayed at the midway point of the season then projecting him as a first round pick.

Dozier announced on April 12 that he would declare for the NBA Draft, but would not hire an agent, which would make him eligible to return to South Carolina next season provided he withdrew his name from consideration by June 12. Over the weekend, he had a change of heart and signed with an agent.

Additionally, senior Sindarius Thornwell made the list and is projected as an early second round pick. The mock draft has Thornwell going to the Orlando Magic also with the third pick in the second round, No. 33 overall.

Thornwell said he’s leaving on Wednesday for Chicago to begin training for the NBA Draft. Up until now, he’s been working out in Columbia.

“I’m going into workouts with a chip on my shoulder and with something to prove,” Thornwell said. “I feel like I’m still looked at as the underdog and people still question stuff about me. I’m going in to show them what I can do and give it my best.”

The NBA Draft Combine is set for May 9-14 in Chicago. The draft is set for June 22.
